How We Research Our Picks
Every category recommendation is built from evidence we can verify and cite, not personal hands-on testing of every product. For each category we:
- Aggregate verified buyer reviews at scale, weighting reviews left after months of ownership more heavily than first impressions.
- Compare manufacturer specifications side by side, translating marketing numbers into what they mean in real use.
- Read expert and editorial coverage from established review outlets and test kitchens to cross-check the buyer consensus.
- Track durability signals — recurring complaints, return-rate patterns, warranty terms, and long-term ownership reports.
What We Don't Do
We are upfront about our limits. We do not claim to have personally tested every product across our 40-plus categories, and you will not find fabricated "I used this for three weeks" anecdotes on this site. When our content says a product performs a certain way, that reflects the documented consensus of verified buyers, published expert reviews, and specification data — framed as research, not invented personal experience.
